Rancho RS 9000 shocks

I just put Rancho RS 9000 shocks on my truck and love them. The catalogue does not show a listing for the 2004 models, but they are available.
The part numbers are: RS99221, and RS99269. These are for the 8,800 or 9,000 GVW models and measure out the same as stock, both compressed and extended.
There has been some discussion about these before and I'm surprized the Rancho catalogue is not up to speed yet. Sheesh.

How much did this soften up your ride? Have you run them on the softest setting yet and if so does it seem to squishy and give to much body roll? Is it night and day difference or just little improvement? I run empty alot of the time so softer ride would be nice.

draebi,

Just got them on and have not played around with the settings yet. I have had them on other trucks and they are adjustable from so soft they are almost useless to so hard that they are brutal.
Currently they are on number three and the truck is less bouncy without being more harsh. Also, and this is what I really like, the wheels stay on the ground better. For instance, on a fast corner, like an on ramp, a bump does not affect tracking. The original shocks would let the rear end jump to the side over rough patches. Much less with Ranchos.
On my other trucks, with heavy loads, I could just crank them up and still get good control. Or, out in the desert, on washboard, much better traction. Very cool.
