ranch hand front bumper owners

I am looking at a truck that has a ranch hand front bumper on it. i don't really like the bumper at all. how hard would it be to go back to the stock bumper set up? did you delete any of the brackets during the install?

If It Is Anything Like Mine There Shouldn't Be Any Brackets Missing Off The Frame. You Will Need To Make Sure The Bumper You Replace It With Has ALL OF The Brackets THOUGH. YOU MIGHT ALSO LOOK TO SEE IF THEY WELDED IT ON, AND IF SO HOW HARD IT WILL BE TO GRIND THE WELDS OFF

Whats wrong with the ranchhand front bumper?

I have one on mine and love it, gives you that extra protection in case you hit a deer or something, they cost like $900 as well. Mine had one it when I bought it so I am not to sure about the brackets but mine is welded and bolted on (previous owner didnt want it coming off) so if the one you are looking at is this way it looks like they will be a real pain to grind off due to their location and stuff being in the way. Hope this helps ya

I love mine. It came on the truck when I bought it so I can't really help you. It is great for standing on while changing filters and gives me insurance to protect my front end from varments.

Make sure the thing wasn't welded on first of all. They are direct replacements, so they are easily removed and replaced with factory pieces. A buddy of mine just picked up a 96 in Texas, had RH front and rear bumpers. Both of them were welded, and total PITA to remove. My 97 has a RH rear, I've had it off already, thank god it was only bolted.

I'm not a fan of the looks of them either. My rear one is getting traded on a factory chrome bumper and receiver. My buddy picked up two chrome stockers for his. Those RH bumpers are heavy in every sense of the word. Definately built to take abuse.
