Big High Idle problem just occured. Idling great but with the grid heaters kicking in the idle is ALL over the board. Sometimes the idle even dropped back down to 850 rpm and then back to 1200?

I'm not doughting the FASS.. just the size of the fitting going into the pump... I think someone needs to play with the relief setting of the charge pump... (Increasing the pressure is not the best answer for the problem.. but easiest/cheapest.) Interested to know what they are doing on the modified pumps..

But with the reading being taken at the pump if 19psi is present then there should be plenty of fuel avail... Now if most of that is bypassing the 14psi overflow... I guess that is possible.. I've always wanted to check flow out of that line!

I"m thinking of the internal charge pump.. there is a regulator for its pressure..
Charge pump

Pressure regulator... (The piece on the upper right with the red dot..)

now what would happen if you were to take the charge pump and open up those holes a little so it would flow some more fuel .

Personally, going by how the Adrenaline reacts on my truck, I don't think Quad is draining the rotor dry...yet... I have a Redline box, and when it drains the rotor the results are completely different. I think there is still a lot to be gained with this box. We need to give Quad sometime, before we start redesigning the VP44. On my truck it has all the indications of having to much advance on the top levels, at higher rpm. I think if we give Quad more time he will be able to coax more fuel out of the VP44.

Just my $.02 worth...

I think there could potentially be an Auto and a Manual program. Between shifts on a manual, it is my contention that the VP has a chance to catch up so a little so more aggressive fueling can be tolerated without draining the VP. On an Automatic truck hopefully he can find a happy medium to stretch the fuel so it doesn't drain it until you hit the traps with the constant boost and fueling the Auto demands. That may be difficult to achieve though with different set ups.

I think all of these posts are related to the adrenaline. They are about how quickly this box drains the VP and what options there might be in programming to maximize fuel stretch.

Good observation.... and very pertinent, IMO.

My manual gauge says 62 and the Adrenaline says 40. The MAP sensor does have a max limit, which the Adrenaline appears to read as ~ 40psi. My redline box hooked to the same MAP sensor reads it as 51 psi. I don't know which is right (from the MAPS sensors perspective). I do suspect that the Adrenaline is reading a little low, because it doesn't read any boost until my manual gauge reads about 5 psi.
