well i was at work all night for the second night in a row attempting to get all the stars and planets aligned and deploy all of our F-16s to the middle east, after a frustrating night i leave and get on the freeway, well there was a 12 valve guy who sees my smoke and comes on hard, this guy was rolling the coal but i let him level off and just walked away from him... 10 miles down the road another guy that had been giving me looks previously in his 3rd gen bully dog badged dual exhaust dually ended up being caught at a light with me and learned just how hard this box fuels second hand... man i love this box and cant wait for the comp files to come out!

 

Got it all installed today and got nothing happening on the screen but PL00. I'm guessing I need to hook up everything??? I didn't hook up the fuel pressure sensor because I have a FASS and a fuel electric pressure gauge already. I'm thinking that's why nothing will work?

 

Nope that's not it... I'm not using the FP, Pyro, or temp sender... Those are all options...

You have PL00... Can you not use the up nad down arrows to change that?

 

I dont know if this is it or not, but try grounding the tranny temp sensor. Just a thought. It wont give you a reading but may complete the circuit.

 

That's not it. I have the same thing on my module. I was on the phone with Justin for a long time on Friday. We tried flashing a new program and going through some checks. He talked to Quad and they decided something was wrong with the box. They sent me a new one out on Friday, then I'll send this one back. We'll see if that was it. Yours may have been in the same batch with mine. They may have to send you a new one as well.

No big deal, it is a Beta test after all. We have to work through the bugs.

 

I just removed my TST and Edge Comp, that sucks!!! Back to a wussy stock truck but that's usually my luck!!! The bad part is being up here in Canada and it take a week or more to receive anythig from the USA. Oh well, Quad will fix me up so I'm over it.

 

I only took my Edge Comp out. Probably should have left the harness in there, but that one firewall wire chase is getting full! I still have the TST and the Smarty so I'm in good shape.

Did yours ship out on Friday the 19th, that is when mine originally shipped? I had to wait on a couple cross over 02 to 01 plugs after that so I was just getting it installed this Friday.

I know what you mean about shipping to Canada. I sold downpipe to a guy in Canada and it was a pain just to get pricing to ship it....then I got to Fedex and the price was more than the part sold for just for the shipping. Finally got the online freight bill after fixing my printer and got it shipped for what I quoted. It took 2 weeks for it to arrive to the buyer. Wow!

Glad to see it just wasn't me having that problem.

 

Check all your connections again, especially the connection of the fuse tap under the hood. Mine did the same thing and I fiddled around with the tap to make a good connection and it started working. Might not be whats wrong with yours though, just a thought. Hope you get it figured out.

 

Tried playing with everything and no go. Still stuck on PL00 and all the settings say 9999. Must be the box because windows also keeps saying there's an error connecting during USB connecting?

 

Ya I hate those wire tap thingys... Mine were replaced pretty quick!

 

Justin and I went through that on mine. Checked the fuse tap, both legs of each fuse, and the ground. All checked out.

 

Mine will connect and I can update the program, but it still does the same thing on the truck....PL00 and 9999 on all the sensors.

The aggressive tune is the one that people were experiencing the shuttering/surging with right? I remember reading back in the thread about milder tunes availible where the shuttering/surging was near as bad... but I'm curious if the shuttering/surging is going to hurt anything? Whats the cause of it? Do we know yet?


I'm in MN duck hunting for the weekend, so I'll read back through the thread a bit more when I get home, but if you guys that have yours already have any info, I'd appreciate it.

 

Anyone else getting the USB connection error???
