Quicker boost between shifts with a BOV?

Wanting to know from anyone with a BOV and a 5 or 6 speed if the lag in between shift is any shorter with a BOV? Since the pressure on the compressor wheel is reduced when the BOV valve relieves the pressure, will the turbo spool faster? Thanks

I've got one. Do I like it, ya, would I buy it again, probably not. But I have an auto. I bought it to stop the barking when the truck went into OD, and was told it would take care of it, but after getting it on and understanding how it works, I found out it won't. It would help spoolup wile you're rowing' through the gear. Install in pretty easy, but it takes a little time to get the controller setup right.

The autos don't benefit much from having a BOV...it really shines on a manual!! Basically once you hit that clutch to shift, it pops open and lets out the built up boost escape helping the turbo spool back up.

The autos shift so dang quick it doesn't really matter. I've never had one on a diesel, but have played with many of them on gassers and they pretty much work the same. Granted the way they hook up isn't them same......but same general idea!!!
