Question question for guys with stacks

I was told that I need to install this 10"stack father than my cab roof, because it will melt my paint on the cab offthe roof? I need to know if this is true or not. I'm sure somebody knows the answer. I really want to install the stack where the very to is level with the cab not extended past it, but I don't want to.net my paint?? Anybody got any answers?

Thanks,

Stacks will be the worst thing you can do to a truck you drive on a regular basis, or even an occasional basis. Especially a 10".

Thanks for the info. Go it done late yesterday evening. Looks good and sounds great! It actually quieted down my truck. Yes it is a deeper sound, but its allot quieter.
The wife even likes it and wants one on hers!... Lol

I had 5" slash cuts level with the top of the cab no issues with paint but Tate's right the drone finally got to me especially towing.
