I've been running this tune for a couple of weeks now and noticed my mileage improved by 2 MPG hand calculated. On the 1st tank I got 19 MPG, running strictly in timing+fuel with a mix of city and 180 miles of highway driving at 65-75 MPH. On the 2nd tank I got 21 MPG running strictly in timing mode with a mix of city and 350 miles of highway driving at 65 - 75 MPH. With the old 3000 tune, I only saw 21 MPG once and that was all highway in timing mode and keeping the RPMs below 2000 (~65 MPH). So far, I'm very pleased with the new tune.

I can't believe I just found this thread. I noticed the slight surge at light throttle back when I installed the XZT. Did not think much about it until it started getting cold around here and the problem magnified itself 200%. I just grabbed the file and will get it loaded up tonight when I get home. I can reproduce the surge anytime I want so it will be easy to see if this helps.

Thanks Quad!

PS: Does this tune have the high idle and warm up protection included?

Thanks, do you know if the Cold Engine Protection set at 170 or 140 deg, and what is the wait period before High Idle engages?

Thanks

I believe it's set at 140 and the wait period is 2 minutes.

Well I would say the shudder is 95% gone. It is very nice, I no longer have to feather the throttle to avoid it.

Could not really test how "strong" the tune was, we got snow today, and the rear of the truck likes to try and pass the front when the roads are slick and the foot is heavy.

Well, I finally was able to tow my boat this weekend with the new beta tune installed and discovered the surge is still there when trying to maintain speed up and incline. The surge is present on timing and timing/fuel settings. I also noticed that the surge disappears while using cruise control. With the 3000 tune, I had surging in timing/fuel, but not timing only. As I stated earlier, I don't notice any surging unloaded.
