QuadZilla - Hard to Install?
QuadZilla - Hard to Install?
Anyone installed a QuadZilla that the site is selling yet? Just curious how hard it was and how the installation manual is to follow along with.
I just figured if I was going to get my feet wet with 1 or 2 guages, I might just as well take a bath. Dont know what the optional accessories that come with the unit do exactually, but I really need to look at fuel pressure issues on my truck. Im tired of new VP44 pumps and injection pumps that I keep replacing.
Thanks,

Thanks,
I recently put in the Xillaraider box in my truck and it was very straight forward. I do not have the Commander unit but as for the Xilla it was plug 1 wire into the MAP, tap the pump and apps then through firewall and mount dial and box. The Quad instructions were good if you read them a couple times due to the pictures not being super clear esp on tapping the pump wire but if you read the directions you will see exactly what they are talking about. All in all I am very satisfied with their box.
The Quadzilla site has a link to the installation manual for their products. I read through it a couple of times before I looked at buying one. I am not sure what wire needs tapped on the VP44, though. I am considering a replacement cover for a secure connection but am scared I will crack the circuit board! I have a thread on the advantages/disadvantages tapping the pump with the Xzillaraider and I received an e-mail from Roark explaining the box would do boost fueling, but little power would be gained since it isn't really a timing box. The Edge products will do timing if the wire isn't tapped, turning an expensive Comp into a cheaper EZ. I am putting in a newly remanned VP44 and am hesitant to tap the wire yet.
