taping the pump wire....
1. void the pump warranty if you still have one
2. ADDS up to 180hp of crazy fun all out power driving!
Why install the Adrenaline if you're not going to tap the wire...Just do it and don't look back.

If you don not tap the wire any setting past 3 will have no effect. When you tap yhe wire the Adrenaline WILL find any and all weak spots in your drive line.

Without tapping the pump wire the Adrenaline will give 60 hp. When you tap the wire a aftermarket lift pump should installed as the stock one will not have enough volume. A wire tap stresses the VP44 and may cause it to go out if it's not 100% at very least it tends to reduce the lifespan of it.

Out of curiosity how reliable will the VP be if I tap the pump wire while its being fed by a Fass fuel system ? I also purchase a BD stealth cover so I don't have to tap the outside pump wire.

Ive had my pump tapped for a total of 6 years. Originally with an Edge Juice with Attitude, then with the Adrenaline Smarty Stack. All on the original pump with Fass 150gph pump feeding it. I've had no issues with the stock VP-44 on the truck. But it's the luck of the draw with these pumps though. Like he said, tap the pump and don't look back.

Edit: Also I see you have an automatic transmission. You NEED to upgrade your drivetrain if you want full use out of your Adrenaline. I found the weak points in mine right off. Do not go cheap on the add on parts either. I bought knock of Val-Air clutches to replace my stock. After two of those I spent the money on a South Bend and it holds on like a fat kid to chicken

Don't waste your money on this, just tap the wire.

The big point of the stealth cover was hiding the mark on the pump wire, but almost all of the pump vendors know about this and look for it, so it's not really hidden. As far as the best connection, solder the connection where you tap in and tape/wrap it well. Definitely avoid the cheap scotch-lock connectors.
