Is Quadzilla considering something like their tow module for an 01.5? I don't tow so much as haul a 2800# slide in camper. Don't want gobs of hp to drag stop lights. Would like something that allows me to accelerate in OD if need be. And I'll take ANY gain in mpg.

 

Why are you only looking at Quadzilla? There are many other chips and boxes that are out there for these trucks. I have an Edge EZ and it gives some mild hp gain (65) with the advantage of you timing being advanced which helps with mileage. I didn't really see any gains in mileage when I put mine on. But its hard to gauge mileage when you don't know how many gallons you put in, have a tank at home.

There are many others out there that would give you what you are looking for.

 

Well, the $200+ price difference for one.

 

They have a tow module for that year , I just helped a friend put one on his it is an adjustable 30hp and 70 hp module that stays underhood unlike the newer models. works very good several months now.

 

You could always buy a used box.

 

I ran one for a couple weeks, definite power increase but made the truck lope VERY bad when it was cold, also wasn't very smooth bringing the extra power in.

 

Quad has a new box coming shortly for the 2nd Gen 24 valve people, he is testing it now.
