Very frustrating. I would rather have no TT than deal with every other shutoff being a mystery. Should I try loading up the website software. Maybe the flash on my new box is corrupted.
First, you are more than welcome to download the file of the website but, it should be identical to what you have unless someone screwed up.

I am working on this right now as it seems to be the last real issue I have. I know you and 1 or 2 other trucks that have this and I intend on figuring it out.

So, let me make sure we are on the same page. You have a new box that we sent you recently? You have a new control pod?

The easy fix is to turn the TT off and just have a download for people that want a TT knowing that on a few trucks it might act up. I don't like that idea but, it is possible.

I found another symptom when my box is acting up, (the TT either works or not...no surge) it seems that the power levels don't/won't change or there is no fueling during the "start" sequence that the box won't shut down...you can change the control pod setting all the way from PL00 to PL10 but there is no extra fueling during that start...but this doesn't happen every time, once in a while the "flashing pod display" that indicates safe cold start/running doesn't stop flashing and the truck won't shut down then either...

I hope you can save the TT...I like that function...this is a new box and control pod too...

Having a file with no TT would be great... I'm just saying this because I have one on my alarm/remote starter and they hate each other!!!

When I said the Adrenaline will with comp files later, they laughed. http://www.competitiondiesel.com/for...ad.php?t=21449. Crossing my fingers!

They said I could not have the throttle response of a Smarty as well???

I don't read to much into stuff. I would be skeptical to until it gets proven. Give me some time, we will prove it.

You the man quad!!! Take all the time that you need, rather wait & get a perfect box than rush & get a ok box.

The test file that Quad sent me last night has almost eliminated my surging. I can now drive around town with the box on PL03 with no noticeable surging.

I noticed the following this morning:
- Pickup was plugged in overnight to reduce warm up time this morning
- Started the pickup and it flashes PL00 during warm up mode
- Drove about 10 miles, temp gauge read just below 190* but control pod was still flashing PL00
- I pressed one of the up/down adjustment buttons and the pod immediately displayed PL02
- The first time the pickup was shut off I had no turbo timer, pickup cut off as soon as I turned the key

I am beginning to think my APPS is hypersensitive as I do not feel any surging with the cruise engaged, even when I run ADR_FACTORY_BETA2. I replaced it in October about a week before installing the Adrenaline.

Quad, I tried shutting down again when I got home after we talked and I left the head lights on, heater, stereo, and my truck shut off with no TT or pedal input from me to kill it, so I think it probably is the super fast voltage drop. I started my truck again, turned off everything and it only had a mild surge before the TT caught it. Tried again a third time but waited for the grid heaters to cycle off by watching the battery needle and truck went from key off to TT without a hitch gurgle or surge.

So does it surge anywhere? I know you said it is ALMOST eliminated which leads me to believe it might still be doing it? If you can tell me where it is I can probably fix it for good.

We are checking some stuff right now on the warm up mode. I think it might have a bug in it which is probably causing some other significant stuff happening.

If I can eliminate the surging for good which it sounds like I have or almost have then I only have to really worry about the TT issue we have with a few trucks and I may have that fixed already! I am ready for a BEER!

The tune I sent out via email to a few people has a pretty rough map in it for timing. I am working on real map that I would really want to run, it is not so off and on. I just did not want to spend hours on it if that was not even the problem! So if I can get that wrapped up tonight we can have it up on the web in the morning.

Also, do you think that latest tune is stronger? I have had several people tell me they believe it is quite a bit more responsive on the bottom.

What you will have tomorrow will not have that issue. Let me know how it goes. Start the truck, turn everything you can think of on turn it off. It should be fine with no glitch at all.
