Question Quad adrenaline?

Okay, my truck is in the shop right now getting the tranny upgraded and I am ready to get something to give me some power, I have done alot of reading on here and looking around and I think I am going for the quad adrenaline. I was thinking about the smarty but I don't have any guages yet, and for the price of the quad I think it already has displays to monitor stuff so I don't break anything. That is the other question I have, does it display EGT's and trans temp and all that stuff on that little controller or does it have another display or am I misreading the ads I am seeing? Down the road I plan on getting real guages just because I like the looks of them but for now something to help me be safe would be fine. Also, down the road if I want bigger injector and a bigger turbo is it going to work okay with that? How does it hook up is it just plug and play and that's it?

The Adrenaline will be available with the commander monitor. The commander will be all the gauges needed. You really need to get a lift pump like Fass or Airdog if you want to run any box which taps the vp44 injection pump. The vp44 relies on fuel as a lubricant which also cools the pump. Without fuel flow you are on borrowed time.

The fuel upgrade is also in the works in the near future. Does the little pod they give you with the quad monitor anything? From the way it is worded on all the sites I have looked at it seems like it is saying you can monitor certain things with it but I ma not sure. Does it come with a probe for the pyro or does it read from some other kind of sensor? Sorry to sound kind of lost but all this 24v computer stuff confuses the crap outta me!

The pod has EGT's Boost and Tranny temp, as of right now. Keep in mind we are still in the first of three stages of testing. I would definitely recommend waiting.

The pyro is included & comes with a plug which attaches to the Adrenaline wiring. The box monitors egts & adjusts fueling to keep egts at 1250*.

You could ask 100 questions but still get the same answer : "It's the ****"!! No seriously, it has all the features and more than you can ask for. Big, smooth hp, guages, defueling, multiple tunes via USB/Internet, turbo timer and best of all, automatic high idle!!! I've been waiting for an automatic high idle that works at any temperature for years.

Wait a second... can i buy the adrinaline box only with out the commander monitor and gauges? I already own a commander so i would prefer to buy the adrinaline box and integrate it with my exisiting equipment. I would hate to end up with a second commander when i buy an adrinaline and try to sell it in the classifieds.

Stage three comes with free twins I heard!!! I tried the Smarty Jamie and it was pretty good with that dyno tune. Great midrange but still to much surging.

Ok, lets see if I can hit this all in one whack.

Adrenaline comes with the Adrenaline Control Pod. It looks and feels like a Recon XZT gauge but, it is not. It is totally different and only works with the Adrenaline modules.

For the standard part# you get everything needed for making the power and monitoring EGT, Boost, Transmission( or oil temp) and Fuel Pressure. It includes all probes, sensors, fittings and washers needed.

Now, the Commander that will be used with the Adrenaline is totally different than the Commander we have out now. It uses the same display and case and all that but, it is totally different. You can use the old Commander but, there are a lot of things it won't do on the Adrenaline. The Commander for the Adrenaline connects differently and will cost significantly less than the original Commander.

With the one made specifically here is some info:

Not Stand Alone
Displays all 4 parameters listed above plus, IAT, RPM, MPH, Corrected MPH, Coolant Temp, Load, De-fueling %, Batt Volts and a few more things I think but, cannot remember.
You can set various parameters such as warm up mode, turbo timer functions and time or temp for the turbo timer to turn off. You an also select thing for more aggressive fueling or less aggressive fueling.

Basically it does a lot of stuff. The regular Adrenaline will have a lot of these options but, you will have to download different tunes to get exactly what you want. Most of these things will be adjustable with the Commander.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info Qzilla. I look forward to when your product is done. But may i make a suggestion?
Why not use a different name for the new monitor/controller/parametersetter? It would clear up a lot of confusion (mostly mine... maybe others) between the capabilities and compatibilities of the new and old. My .02
