Drilling and tapping the manifold is really easy. Make sure you have the right size drill and tap. You can take the manifold and turbo off to make sure no shavings get in there. That process is pretty simple. Make sure the pyro is not resting on the bottom of the manifold. While you have the manifold off take the time to match port it to the turbo flange and gaskets for lower egt's.

you match the port on the exhaust manifold to the turbo flange and the exhaust manifold inlets to the stock gaskets. do a search and you'll see what i mean. hope this helps.

You have to install on ex. manifold, otherwise reading will be incorrect.
It's not a big deal, I used a shop vac while drilling, and I didn't have any problem, if there is any shaving leftover inside manifold it will be so small I believe it won't hurt the turbo while going through it.

Remember to drill the rear 1/2 section of if, there is a separating wall in the center.

I just did mine two weeks ago and its a piece of cake. Just work slowly with a drill and remember to keep cleaning up shavings as you go. Also, always measure twice so you know right where to drill. I would dip the bit and tap in grease pretty often to help collect shavings. Once it was drilled and tapped I took a magnet on a piece of alum. rod and dug around in the manifold. That was about it, piece of cake. Oh, have a good cushion to sit on or your gonna get some butt pains!

Good luck with the install.

Just want to add mine is pre-turbo in the manifold.

I'm going to be drilling mine in the next few weeks, one last question, ok 2. I've seen some drilled from the top vertical probe going down and some on the pass side horizontal with the probe more directed toward the exhaust. What is the best method. Also you don't tap the entire hole just about 3/4's of the manifold correct?

Thanks
