ok i have got to ask i have been driving big trucks all engines and have never seen a pryo pre turbo why is it that every body says pre is better than post. ???? just gotta know.

Pre turbo is way more responsive and gives a real accurate reading of the temps by the cylinders, post turbo is not as responsive and usually gives a 200*-300* cooler reading

basicaly it gives you a more accurate reading of how hot the exhaust is that is going into your turbo so that you wont cause any damge to it or your engine. It is very easy to max your egt after you start bombing these engines so if you can keep a more accurate watch on your egt the better.

ok i understand that but why is it that much more im portant on our trucks than all the big trucks ive drove over the years 19 yrs that is. im not trying to be an a.. here just wanting to know.

Well when you put Chips and injectors in these trucks they will run real hot EGT's if not enough air (larger turbo), and your big truck engines are just setup with factory fueling so heat shouldn't be a problem. Unless your engine is turned up, then it would be important to have a EGT guage pre turbo in your big truck.

most of the early trucks i drove were turned way up could see 1500 real easy if you stayed in them old b model cats and my fav big cam cuminns
