pump q's

I really want to bomb my truck but I am in a dilemma, I know its better to get a box before you get injectors, but for the hp I want I would have to tap my wire if I got a comp. I still have one year on the warrantee so I don’t want to void it just yet. What do you guys think about the jammers? I don’t have enough for a complete set of injectors, so I am just going to have to get the jammers and test them after I install them... if I do get them. I am looking for to get the 130hp ones. what kind of risk on the ip am i taking if i do tap the wire?

Re: pump q's

first of all, why tap the wire and worry about an IP replacement when you want to tap the wire without an EGT gauge. pistons are more expensive than IP's to replace.

there is a thread not too long ago on this.

IP could go out tomorrow without a box...good thing = dodge pays for it.

IP could go out 2 years from now (box or no box)...bad thing = you pay for it.

if you can't or don't want to pay for a new IP (~$1300) yourself, then keep it stock until warranty is up. then worry about paying for one.

IMHO, you are going to BOMB the truck anyways so BOMB it now and enjoy it (provided you can afford a new IP...just in case) but get ALL of your gauges first and understand how to use them.

do a little search on VP44 or "pump wire" and you will have a wealth of info.

hope i didnt come across as a donkey...
