I have an 01 CTD with an Edge EZ which works great. Since the injector pump seems to be a problem on these particular trucks, i have 82,000 miles on my truck. Does this modification shorten the life of the injector pump? If it does i'll remove it tomorrow.Thanks for the imput

 

EZ boxes are pretty tame.
It's the ones like the Comp that actually control the pump via a connection to the solenoid wire that cause the big headache.

You'll need a fuel pressure guage first and foremost.

 

I already have a fp guage-14psi at idle,10 to 11 at 70mph. I have a spare lift pump under the seat just in case.

 

The Edge EZ wont hurt it at all. It will be fine. Just leave it on. The comp box, and other that "tap" the pump wire are the ones that can hurt it, and the EZ doeesent do that.
