which pump do i have? and mack plug question

which pump is on a 97? and i've been reading about mack plugs and i understand they help on some pumps but not the 215 or 230 pumps. would getting a mack plug for my truck help or be a waste? basically im just trying to figure out which pump i have to see if a mack plug would help me

Your truck ( 97 auto) would have a 185 pump, a 97 5 speed would have a 215 pump. Never heard of a 230 pump before. Other than that , I can't help you.

a 97 auto has a 180 pump... the mack rack plug will help rack travel on a 180 pump... generally accepted it is not necessary on a 215...

sorry i didnt even know i put a 230 pump up there i guess i was zoned out i haven't even heard of that pump sorrry.
