Proper way to block a wastegate
Proper way to block a wastegate
Just curious,
Is there a "proper" way to block a wastegate? or can you just get a longer hose, pinch it and somewhat get the same effects? I have read up that some people stick a screw in the line that goes to the gate, others just remove the hose completely, if you plugged ur gate, how did you do it and what became of the hose? was it completely removed? OR was it just left to dangle...
Thanks guys
Still learning as I go..

I have heard of truckers putting bb's or pellets in the hose.....you know cause it's not legal or something, so they have to be crafty and do it so it looks like the hose is still connected and functional..maybe something about DOT??

What could go wrong if you put a bolt in the tube? Can you tow with it like that? Guess you just have to watch your boost gauge. I'll do that today if it won't kill something expensive on my motor.
