I believe it is true, as I've had tire business guys tell me the same thing. (though I've also had Ford guys tell me the famous myth of Cummins ownership).
Pro Coms are good, but a little soft, so don't expect much life under a beastly heavy CTD. Maybe the ATs would wear well, but I *KNOW* that the MTs do not. 25K is doing VERY well for a set of p/c MTs, imo.
