Predator/Dr. Performance Stage III

Howdy,

I am new to this forum and have purchased a 1998.5 Dodge 24 V cummins 2500 4x4 with 80,000 on it in Feb of 05. I have done a couple of things to it in the last few months including 4" mandrel bent exhaust, AFE 5 layer filter, and a Banks Exhaust brake system. I tried putting a AFE stage II cold air intake on it but it would not clear the exhaust brake actuator. I have also done some work with a CB/Ham radio set. I am looking for some input about the Predator stage III fuel pressure control module, specifically (in your experience) can I use this without making any changes to the transmission. I know this will take the HP and ftlbs to about the limit of the stock converter and am curious if you guys have tried one and what your results were. I am abit concerned that it takes everything to the threshold. I would really like the extra power and have looked at gaining it several different ways but this seems to be the most economical and least technical option, of course that is barring any equipment malfunctions caused by the upgrade! Any input you guys have would be much appreciated, if I dont see any horro stories about tranny and torque converter failier I am going to order one.

I have a stage I and have no problems, but I have a 5spd. I guess its like anything else, its like flippin a coin to know how well your tranny will hold. I haven't heard anything around here about tranny issues with the Predator/Dr. P. I will PM you with a guys ph # how knows all about the Dr Preformance products. I really like the stuff I have from him. O' buy the way, you do know you will need to tap the Ip/Vp wire?
