Powermax TST question

Anyone know if they do boost fooling? I want to stack one with my van Aaken. Then the other question would be, how do you connect the MAP sensor to both units?

Dosen't the van aaken do boost fooling? When I stacked my tst with my ez I asked tst and they said it would make more power with the tst connected to the engine side first then plug the other end of the tst into the van aaken and the other end of the van aaken into the other end of the map sensor plug that goes to the cab or whatever.

Ok then, they both do boost fooling. I wasn't sure about the TST. I will have to move my boost gauge hook-up to the TST harness input connection. If the van Aaken only sees a safe boost, it doesn't affect it's operation? I mean will it achieve full potential anyway? Sort of in the dark about this. TIA

The VA will be unaffected by the boost fooling of the TST.

Connect it this way: MAP sensor--> TST--> VA-- Factory harness that connects to MAP sensor.

The TST needs to see the map sensor output directly.

Not all VA units do boost fooling. The earliest models only advanced timing and gave a hair more fuel-- no boost fooling.

All the VA units on the market now have boost fooling. So this is only an issue if you have a VERY old VA (ca. 1999-2000 or so).

Thanks to all who replied. Justin, my VA is a newer model, two years old. Btw, how is it that you know this? You must read a lot. ;-)

I found a 60hp Powermax, which is all I was really looking for and bought it from a forum member. It should go well with the 275s I found as well. Now, all I need is a free weekend to get everything installed.

Too many projects and not enough time.

The scary thing is that even though I'm coming up on 5K posts, I've read at least 10X that, if you count here and my old TDR acct
