power??? where at?

OK guys, I do not get on this part of the site much, I do not have enough valves. lol but I have a friend with a 99 3500 24valve,5-speed, He has no prior mods other then a bhaf, gear vendor, and a pusher pump. He just put in some 300 injectors and wants to know what he should run for a chip. I Drove in this truck before and after the injector install, and did not notice much difference. Should there be? does He need a boost elbow to help these injectors out? is there diferent set ups that come with boost foolers? or what is he missing? any help would shurly be great!! thanks guys, doodah!

Depends if he wants to go extreme, or have a good running daily driver. First he needs gauges, and if he just wants a good daily driver, tell him to get an edge EZ box. Will add a nice little kick, and comes with a boost elbow. If he wants a pretty mean truck tell him to go with a Edge Comp He will probably be more than happy with either one. These just seem to be 2 preferred boxes.

well, acouple things I forgot to mention, He tows alot! he owns a 30ftx8ft enclosed v-nose trailer and huals it around full of books for book fairs! so he needs it to be mild-mannered,He says he wants to got with the edge with the additude moniter, but the place he deals with has a waiting list! He does not have any guages, and I told him 1000s of times to get some, hes learning, but he doesn't have a lot of time to look around, but has money! By the way he is now a dealer in this gear vendors, now, so he is gonna be putting on some more miles on the truck and wants to make sure, he has the power put in the right spots! when he is not hualing books{for his dad} he runs a small car fix it shop. so his mechanic skills are mostly up to par! thanks later

He needs GAUGES! Youll just have to tell him again Sounds like hell want the EZ for plent of power towing, but very manageable EGT's. The EZ is a nice little box. Does he have an auto or 6 speed? If he has an auto he will also need a new converter/valve body or shift kit. 6 speed clutch should hold good for a while anyway.

I am going throught this right now, I have tuner and box/chip injectors and it started acting like a dog. negligeable boost, not jammer 2 type of performance, just plain unimpressed, so I pulled my MAP sensor and cleaned it hit it with the mighty vac and reinstalled it....different truck...for a while, needless to say I need a map sensor. so if you have put in injectors and it did not wake it up, check the MAP out can make a big difference.
