Power Puck

I just purchased a power puck for the ole dodge and love it. I have a stock Dodge except for the BHAF "love the Turbo Sound". My ? is do I need gauges to pull 9000lbs 5th wheel. I will be going from Kansas to Colorado in July and didnt want to mess up my Dodge.

I have the puck and all I have is boost and fuel press. gauge. A pyro would be good to have but I have never installed one I pull a 7500lb trailer.

Fuel pressure is (or should be) mandatory, boost and pyro highly recomended. You should be good to go with those 3.

Probably not mandatory, but the attendent at the parts counter of Cummins Central Power in Cedar Rapids told me last week that he recommends and tells people how to install a low pressure fuel light in Dodge trucks to any Dodge PU owner who buys parts there. I already have mine, plus a fuel gauge, but the light could be your savior.

Yes, you need gauges. EGT and either FP light kit or a FP gauge.

I have an Edge EZ, and I can get my EGT hot pulling a 9000# RV up long grades.

I've seen them around for under $200 lately. Seems like a bargain, hp to $$ wise....

I have a buddy who just ordered one online for $165 shipped, I think'll help his truck quite a bit. Later he is going to stack it with a TST Competition...

I have one on my 01. The egts will climb on a hard pull not sure if they will go above 1200, ( not pushed it to see, i always back off just before 1200) but I recommend a pyrometer and a fuel pressure gauge or idiot light. pyrometer is alot cheaper than a manifold and fuel pressure gauge or light way cheaper than vp44.
