If you have felt a shortage of power and are seeing low boost, check the pump tap wire. If came loose you will only be seeing 65hp and that will result in low boost.

I finally got my truck into the shop tonight...
I checkede the injection pump tap wire and its fine i put my code reader back in it and it hasnt thrown a code since i cleared the overboost code last week.
so i cant figure that out. the motor seems to run ok since i cleared the code but it still doesnt put out the power that it did a few months back, and im still getting bad fuel milege. could it be the edge comp going bad. does that happen???? i checked the conections to the map sencor they were clean and dry. i pulled the map sencor out and it looks fine too.

so if it doesnt have any trouble codes now and my wires are all connected what could it be. it isnt blowing much black smoke like it used to,

all i know is it sucks, my buddy in his stock powersmoke can almost keep up with my and thats just not right!!!

i noticed a very tiny puff of black smoke when i started my truck a while ago. could a dirty MAP or IAT cause this? my main problem is if i take off easy and then stomp it before it shifts to 2nd, once it gets to about 2k it starts almost bucking. kind of like the fuel is being cut off and on, or like i was pumping the throttle and holding it in first gear. its weird. its not violent or anything but somthing isn't right. also every now and then there will be a very light bit of smoke from the exhaust. so i figure it might be a bad or dirty sensor (hopefully).

I'm not sure why you brought this old thread back up Mr silverbullet, but the first thing you should do is read your codes with the key trick: without starting the truck turn the key on/off/on/off/on and the codes will be displayed the odometer.

I wouldn't be worried about a puff at startup though. Its normal as far as I can tell.
