power issue.
OK, so on my dyno this weekend I only made 572hp with M7's compared to my 560hp last time at BD with the old M6's in. Something isn't right with the truck. I was told you could hear the truck popping in the upper rpm's and it sounded like it was buliding power backing off, building power, backing off. On my dyno graph you can see it is making good power and then it levels off and there are some small valleys and peaks. The valleys and peaks happened from 2400rpm to about 3000rpm.
I have had one thing going on for some time that I haven't thought much of, but with the TST on and at WOT the tack will lose signal and flop around a bit and then come back and work just fine. It doesn't happen with the TST off, but I don't understand how the TST would affect that, it doesn't tap any wires with the cam or crank sensor.
I unloaded the smarty today to see if that had any thing to do with it. I did find that with the smarty unloaded the tack only does one small blip and then reads correctly again compared to flopping all over the place with the smarty loaded. Also it did feel like the truck pulled a little harder, Egt's were up to 1500* now and not the normal 1400* with the smarty loaded.
Any ideas?
Dave, this almost reminds me of what your truck does.
