I've used the Mother's mini powerball kit on a set of wheels and was pretty happy because the drill did the work not my fingers.

^^^^what he said. i had a brake pad wear down to steel in the winter and that will leave some nasty pitting on the wheel. powerball made quick work of it.

You may try this stuff called nev-r-dull. It comes in a lil tin can, its a big piece of cloth that is soaked in this stuff and you just tear off a piece of the cloth and go to rubbing it on the wheel. Rub it till it turns black and then wipe it off with a clean rag and thats it. It works awesome on chrome and i think its good for all metals but I ain't 100% positive.

Ive also heard that kerosene works really well on polished aluminum.

FLITZ---It also leaves a kinda wax like coating and protects for quite a while. I have been using "flitz" on guns for years, it will remove rust but won't take off the blueing. I also use it to polish brass as it contains no ammonia so it wont make the brass brittle. It's also the best silver polish that i've ever used.

NO NEVER DULL!!!!! If you use it with a soap from the car wash they turn white!!!! Use mothers and a power ball, thats the easiest and cheapest. I use Zepher-40 from National Truck Wash and Chrome shop.... Big money for what you get

I've used Mother's and Blue Magic. I have had much better results with Blue Magic, especially on a wheel that is oxidized, it seems to cut through it much more quickly.

I went down to the local car wash & got a gallon of concentrated wheel cleaner. I don't even have to scrub the wheel, acid eats the crud right off. I've also used Noxon. It is sold by Advanced Auto, green bottle. It works great! I use my buffer with a good polish most of the time though.

Used never dull on mine before i got tired of polishing and went chrome. Use the never dull only on wheels when they are cold. If wheels are hot it will soak into the pores and thats when you will get the white stains.
