Please Help - Banks Exhaust Brake Died
Hi. The Banks Exhaust Brake on my 2000 CTD 3500 just quit working one day. I cannot pin point which day it was but last Saturday when I was pulling my boat, I noticed that the exhaust brake didn't work after I flipped the switch. I checked the fuse and all the wiring and all seems ok. Any ideas? Anything else I should check? I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I had the replace my alternator fuse under the hood last weekend after it blew. The fuse blew because the guys changing the oil filter touched the bolt at the rear of the alternator. Could this have caused something? Thank you for your time.

Rigg4x4

Check to make shure the shaft turns, the bushings sometimes get stuck. Also make sure you have vacuum to the piston if so you might have a bad piston seal that is sticking in the bore.
