A-pillar

Ok guy's need some help with the apillar gauge pod. Are you suppose to leave the stock cover on or take it off. Any pics and tips would be great. Also where are you screwing it to. I bought the 3 pod from geno's but when I moved I lost all the instruction for it and the gauges. thanks for any help you can give.

I removed mine, and used i screw about 2" above the last gauge to hold it in place. I also have the three gauge pod, but then I added another a-pillar single pod, giving me a 4 gauge. There is a picture in my photo gallery, but not all the gauges are installed, marked with *.
FYI:
1: EGT/ boost *
2: Trans. temp / Engine coolant temp. *
3: Engine oil PSI
4: Fuel PSI

I slipped my gauge pod right over the top of the stock cover, then drilled 2 holes at the top, and used the plastic screws provided w/pod. Looks great.

Lightbulb Thought this might help,,,,,

You can do a (Search) for GAUGES for some more info, HERE are some good posts. I removed my stock pillar cover in case I ever wanted to take them out and used the "One-screw" method.

I've got mine setup just like Rattlin'.... works great! I did have it held up w/ velcro for about a year and half... then too much hot sun and it wouldn't stay on very well anymore... put 1 screw in and it's nice and snug!

If you want more work but a nicer finish find an old trim piece and cut the mounting tabs off and epoxy them to the new pod. I bought a junked piece for $10, had some epoxy and time. Now I can clip or unclip if I ever have to change bulbs. The screws are the next best way to go. I also tied into the wires to the over head console right along the A-pillar for the light source. Easier and neater than from the fuse block. Also dims with interior lights. Take your time and measure carefully.
