Ratsun, you gonna slam in a CR engine into you're ride or just put a CR head onto you're engine? Painless makes a nice wiring harness and you don't have that auto tranny computer to fussy with. You're probably like me the tweaking never stops and there all was something that needs to be improved. I'm thinking about installing another amp to power a few more speakers. I have 2500 watts of amps, but I need more power for those long drives. My new ram 08 1500 , I blown the stock speakers already.

Hey Mike how come that 08 doesn't have a 6.7 in it?
I figured you to have a set of BB twins on one of those bad boys already.

Actually I'm fighting off the urge to tinker with a new truck but my dear wife isn't all that receptive to me buying a new truck to mod and spend my evenings out in the shop with but I'm wearing her down.....slowly

My current system I can safely say has an adequate amount of power

For the first time in my life I am truly satisfied with the sound of the stereo and have no desire to tinker with it anymore, to bad it took so many attempts to reach my sonic bliss

for the 08 hemi, well limited cash flow, thats all mother mopar would give me. The 08 hemi sound system is ok, no bass. Another issue is the 08 ctd has all that emmission stuff, no one at the time didn't build a kit for it to fix the emmission stuff. The unknown 6 spd auto, ok that fixable. I prefer the old truck feel. I want to run a tweaked 6.7L into the old girl, supprise everyone. My lease is short (24mths), so things might get better soon.

Stereo, man you BUILT that. sweet, sweet sweet lord. I have to come hang at your place. I luv that tweaked out stereo box you built. I thinking buying the two enclosed 12in JL subs for 08 and run two amps. One 1000-1500 watt sub amp and one 4 channel 800 watt. a set of MB quart tweeters for the dash. I saw that pioneer has a nice multimed kit that will work with my steering buttons. Kinda similar stuff to my 02. I have a hard time with the wife, she's cutting my funds. So I have to carefull not to set off any alarms. I already blown the 08 speakers, so I think that warranty is up.

I like the stealth effect you have. nice.

Thanks man, audio is my other passion

Dang a de-junked 6.7 in a older truck would be cool!

I ran a set older set of MBQ Q lines for many years and loved them (I like the metal dome tweeter, some don't) if you can find a set of their old 25mm Q line tweeters (don't get any of the lower models) you would probably be real happy especially if they mount off-axis and they fire up to the windshield. They really need power to shine so don't try to run them with the stock system power or you will be disappointed ( I gave mine a true 100-150wrms each and they sparkled) Everyone has their own personal taste on what they like for sound but I have tried over 10 different combos and sizes for subs and have found my current set of 10s ported and tuned to 38hz to be the one I settled on with the size constraints of these trucks interior.

You gotta keep momma happy or she will cost you more than she does now LOL
We will have to hook up for a wobbly next time your out west

Ya, I want bigger subs for the 08 hemi, but its pretty tight back behind rear seat, so I dream 12's but might live with 10's. I don't even remember what I put in the 02 stereo. I think that I put in MB quarts tweeters and doors. Man it works nice, I like the music to sounds purfect. Hopefully soon I get out west, this 7 days a week of work isn't fun anymore. You're stereo set-up is way more high end than mine, so you could teach me a couple things. You put in any sound deadner in the interior? I drove mine this morning, man the engine is noisy, I must be getting soft. Clouded out an intersection, its been awhile since I drove her. Felt good. The 6.7L would fix the noise issue, but doesn't make enough ump yet but give it time for the stuff to come out. I saw a few new 6.7L wrecked rigs on ebay, that talked to me this morning.

I did just over 100 square feet of Brown Bread
I would like to do more in the floor and firewall area but I just don't want to haul the interior out again.
