Pics of 2500 with Tow Mirrors

I am looking into getting a set of the factory tow mirrors (about 200 on ebay) but I want to know what it'll look like on a 2nd gen 2500. More specifically, I'd like to see them in the "up" position because that's probably how i'd leave them. Anyone out there have and pics from the front or sides looking at the mirros in that up position?
Thanks guys,
Matt

don't have any pics, but FYI... you may find that you don't want to run them in the up position all the time. Even in the down position they are much wider than the standard mirrors. I can hardly get through my bank's drivethrough with them down, without touching one side or the other.

IMO running them down really defeats the purpose??? but that's just my opinion, drivethrus & banks arent a big problem cuz the mirrors swing in easily anyway, just my 0.02, Dusty

I agree with Micah, them suckers stick out far when they are folded open. I was driving my dads 05 in Denver with them open and was a tad nervous driving besides Semi's........had a couple close calls when they started crowding my lane.

I was afraid no one would have the pics... maybe i'll just have to buy them and find out for myself. As for the banks and other stuff, that's why I don't usually drive the truck around town. The 4cyl. camery works well for that (& gas milage). The dodge is reserved for pleasure cruises and towing.

Back to the thread:::::: (imagine some nice "on hold" music) ::::::

Any one wanna take some pics and post them or does soemone else already have the pics i'm lookin for?

I have them on my '01 2500, but honestly, I run with them down when I'm not towing becuase I think they look a bit ridiculous in the up position with no trailer on a SRW truck. But then again, my tow mirrors are power, so readjusting them is a snap.

Can you just take the tow mirrors from the 3rd Gen. and put them on the 2nd Gen.?

No. It's a much more involved conversion than that. Do a search here..... this topic has come up many times.

Nope! The mounts are totally different. Although you can do like Mechanos did.... buy the 3rd Gen set, take off the heads, put them on the 2nd Gen set, then get left with a pair of non power 3rd Gens that you couldn't give away.
