performance of a SPS 66 on a 12v?

Im still debating a twin or a single setup. The single is certainly cheaper and less complicated. What kind of spool-up times do you get with the SPS 66 and a good fueling setup on the 12v compared to the stock HX35? Im looking into adding some 435hp injectors and 191 DV's as well as getting a larger exhaust to help cool things down.
This is going to be a daily driver and Id like to get close to around 500hp or so with it. Not much towing but lots of highway miles and a little hooliganism from time to time
What Im hoping to avoid is high smoke / EGTs and something thats really laggy on the bottom and kicks in like a rocket only up top.
Someone posted good results with a SPS 62.. I just wish I could see a comparison between these two before and after so I know what Im getting into.
Actually.. browsing around I dont think there is a modified phat shaft 66 for the 12v.. or at least Im not finding one. In that case Im asking about the PS66 turbo.

I was very happy with my Sled Puller 66 charger from HTT. I recently upgraded to the Pro-Street 66 charger. I like it even better!

I will say.. there is a lot to be said about adjusting the starwheel to work better with the larger single chargers.. I was amazed at the difference in drivability with the star-wheel tightened up a bit.

If you can afford it, i think twins would be the best way to go just because im afraid that a SP66 might be a little laggy for your liking, especially if youre used to the hx35

For a 500 HP truck you will be much better served by the SPS62.... The 66 is a great turbo but it is designed for the higher HP crowd. You will sacrifice spoolup/lowend for topend cooling. In your case the SPS62 will produce cooler all around egt's and better lowend performance than the 66. You alsp will gain no more HP by going with the 66 over the 62 due the amount of fuel you will have available.

The 66 does have a surge issue that can crop up especially in the 12v auto trucks. The difference to get you turbo to "light" will be around 400-600 rpm more for the 66. Of course twins will give the best of both worlds.....
