97' dodge diesel 2500 automatic - where can i get a performance chip for this truck and what kind do you guys recomend? Do i need to send my computer off to have this done?

 

your 97 would be a 12 valve...you cant put a chip on them, they are all mechanical....you need to read up on the fuel plates, starwheel, "turning up the pump" things of that nature...iv never had a 12valve so i dont know much more than that..but if you search those things you will find tons of information...

 

Tonystruck, count yourself lucky. You can add a whole bunch of power for free. Just search free mods and you will find several lists of free and cheap things to do to your truck, you can probably get 3-350 HP out of your truck for free!
