Penetrating Oil

I read a post a while back about a really good penetrating oil that was fairly expensive, but worth the $$. Can't remember the name off hand. Does any one know of this magic fluid? All the stuff on the shelf seems to be a waste of time and $. Thanks

Hey Harbor Diesel, I'm not really sure but may it be "Kroil". I've used quite a few over the years, another one that's been good to me that sticks out is PB Buster Penetrating Oil (I’m not sure if that’s exactly what’s it called) and that one is readily available. Another plus is that it’s foam so it will stay where you want it to. Hope this helps.

Kroil is a goody, we use it alot at work. Another super-fine oil is called Mouse Milk (Google it). This a really good penetrater for exhaust applications like wastegates and obviously bolts and nuts. Kroil also works well as an air tool lubricant. I've only put it in the inlet nipple of the tool.I can't say much about in-line lubricators. In my professional opinion, I'd steer clear of the WD-40. I put that in the same class as bailing wire and duct tape. All three may get you home, but they have no legitamate purpose in a maintainers tool box.

I have never seen kroil in that style container before but I have what I think to be the same thing just in areosol form, it is called areo kroil. I think it is ten times better than pb blaster.

Thanks to all! I think the stuff I was looking for is the Kroil. My truck came originally from Michigan and it has seen lots of snow, ice and SALT. Most of us know how much fun it is taking things apart after a few years of salt spray. I'll order some today and get ready for some springtime maintenance!!

We use the AeroKroil here at work and it works wonders. I buy it by the case and one or two cans have made it home to the garage.
here is the web site.

PChouinard...

I have heard of mouse milk, actually had some at one time. Haven't been able to get any in years.

PM me and let me know where you're getting that stuff. It saves your butt a lot, especially out in the field, 300 miles from nowhere.
