Only been a year for my twins and I remember clearly driving with one eye on the Pyro. Also remember... summer driving... having to feather the right foot till boost built up enough to prevent smoking out both lanes behind me! Never again for me.

Forrest - After seeing your truck on the dyno and the HOUSE you blacked out (20 yds behind the dyno), I suspect you have to be a bit careful in traffic also!

just running around empty and hot rodding it, it doesn't get too hot for me It'll get hot, but it takes a while to get there. I really rarely pay attention to the pyro as it climbs slow that it doesn't bother me. Obiviously it climbs faster than w/ the twins, but more importantly the boost and speedo needles climb faster too! ), but it climbs MUCH slower than my old HX40 truck did with 436rwhp

Roland,

If you were to secretly follow me around for a day, you'd probably never see more than a light gray haze while accelerating. I've got the AFC set up loose for showing off and for tailgaters. I've actually tightened it up some since the dyno day. It'll still put out a good cloud, but it cleans up nicely at WOT for such a responsive turbo

Forrest, which twins did you run? I can relate to smoking out the hiway on my trip out off downtown core after work. I hate traffic.
How much boost you building? I need to pull around 60-70ish to start cleaner the smoke. At sea level, my twins lite nice even running the box on 1x1. Running the smarty, it was quite pleasant instant spool. The rear would break lose on 3x3 on a dry road, no boost spool-up. It sucks being at 3500ft and running big turbos.

I had Rip's setup on there... w/ a PDR 35-12 on top and an S400 on bottom. I never had any problem w/ oil changes.

the 62 is currently doing 46-48 depending on conditions. it'll tag 50psi when you first romp it and then it'll settle down. drive pressure is 1:1 at WOT. I'm definately not clean out the tailpipe... good dark gray haze at WOT. I got ticked off and did a 2nd through 5th run WOT in every gear, looked at the pyro when I let off and it was at 1500*. Not bad for 80* ambient and 535rwhp w/ a 62mm turbo! my old HX40 on my 97 would have been burried at the top of 3rd at 100 LESS HP

just driving around I can keep it essentially smoke free, even at 3/4 throttle, and unless I put it to the wood, EGT's rarely crest 1100*

Whats the SPS62 based on a switzer S300 turbo? I got some different info on that turbo saying that going from a 62/14 S300 turbo running a 62 wheel and a 14cm housing. A 98 915 pump, five speed turbo would peg a 1800deg pyro and its about a 500rwhp. He went to a Hx35/12 and 3B/26 combo, his spool-up is better and his max egt's was around 1200 deg's. I would like know this as I'm planning on going the 35/12, 3B/26 route unless there something better. My est hp would be around 500 to 550rwhp. I'm tired of smoking everyone and watching my rearview mirror.

sps has a bigger turbine and the wastegates flow more exhaust... I also have a ported head. FWIW, I'm about 300* hotter w/ the single than the twins at full boogie

if you've got an automatic, I'm sure you'll like the twins. I didn't like them w/ my 6sp as they spool slower than a single, and you're waiting for that boost needle to move in EVERY gear... w/ an auto, you only have to wait once
