parts compatibility

Well, I'm finally going to BOMB my truck, but i have a few questions for the experienced! I decided to go with a ATS torque converter,V/B kit and the torque commander. From Banks: Monster exhuast,Exhaust brake and one of their milder tuners.and intake manifold. My questions are 1: ATS says the Torque commander is cabable of operating a exhaust brake, and that would eliminate the extra controller from banks. Will the ATS torque commander operate the Banks exhuast brake allright,or are there anomolies to watch out for? Question 2: Most Banks controllers (like the ottomind) reduce fuel when excessive EGT's are seen. I like the feature, but i'm not going to use their thermocouple or guages. Instead i want to use Autometer guages.Since Autometer's pyro is electical can i tap into it's thermocouple to retain the feature? Question 3: The Banks controller also taps into the torque conv. clutch circuit and momentarily defuels for a brief time during engagement to decrease power during lock-up. Is this feature going to cause havok with the Torque Commander? Since it may not be a necessary or desirable feature, can it be disabled without ill effects?

If you want to really BOMB your truck check out other Vendors you can get a lot more H.P. for a lot less than a Banks kit. It is your money and your truck but if it was me I would do as I did and go another direction. For my truck Banks would get me 210 H.P. for $3500.00 I spent $3100 and dynoed 383 H.P. at the rear wheels. Banks stuff works good if you want all your thinking done for you and only want a moderate increase. JMHO
