p7100 pump timing

well i redid the timing on my truck and found that when i had done it the first time that i had overtimed it i meant to set the timing at 16.5, but ended up setting it at 24, this is according to http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1994/18-10-94a.htm i followed their chart with my pumps cpl# and found i had used the wrong timing specs, so i turned the timing down to 17.5, although i cant say for sure if it made a difference, it sounds the same, but it did seem slightly slower on the top end, but not much, anyone have any thoughts on the timing slip up i had, shouldn't their be a bigger difference between 24* and 17.5*??? thanks

not really a big difference except it would pull harder on the top end. for what you are running it wouldn't hurt two add a couple more degrees.
