913 pump is 215 pump, as is a 887 pump. Last 3 digits in the Bosch part number. 0 402 736 XXX. A 215 pump will get you more fuel with less modifications, but when you get into the nitty gritty of it all, I hear a 180 is a the preferred pump since it doesn't have the v-notch plungers in it, which retards timing with more rack travel. Your 98 auto would have the 180 pump in it, which will still get you a lot of fuel from it. Brad Ponci has done real well on a 160 pump, so power can be made from all of them.

thank u Tate yeah i popped the hood today on the 98auto and found out for sure what pump it was
if i can find a np205 transfer case and a 4x4 tailhousing for the slush box and find a square nosed stepside chevy 4x4 thats what that motor and trans is going in so a 180 pump with a few little mods should work well once put together i think what profile of fuel plate works best in the 180pump i have a 0 profile in my 215 with it full forward and the star wheel full forward and a little tweaking on the afc housing springs and washers and also full forward and it works well with managable egts and smoke but i guess 5"exhaust and free flowing intake help with that the chevy will just be for crusing around town and on rainy days so its not going to sled pull or anything i dont know much bout the 180 pumps so any help is gratfull

I don't get bent out of shape seeing some post some big numbers using NOS. I just want to see some big ponies spinning the roller and to me it don't matter if its on spray or not. I haven't tried NOS yet, but will one day. A stock SO pump will work decently and will make some decent numbers. If you want a big bad pony pump, a 913 with large volume plungers, a custom ground cam, can move tons of fuel. There are shops that have pumps around the 900cc area. I've been told that you can get to around the 700rwhp mark on a near stock 913 pump. Guys running a stick, a p pump can easily be swapped in. 98/99/00 Auto's can be done with not to much adjustments. The newer trucks use the TPS sensor for the tranny computer. You have rig up something to move the TPS sensor as well as pump. You also need the tach sensor to work, so you need a cam plate for the tach sensor for the p pump. The best way to fuel the pump is to put in a aftermarket cam with a lift pump lobe on it as well get one that uses a cam gear bolt. The P pump puts lots of extra strain in the cam gear than a VP. A custom set of injectors for the pump would also help.

Well i would go with a p-pump over a monster! But if you are wanting to stick to a vp there is rumor of a super drangon flow vp from industrial its supposebly flowing twice the amount of fuel as their hot rod on their test bench! Its also going to have a warranty on it even if you tap the pump wire!

Too bad the their current HRVP only last a short time. I wonder if they will have better luck with the new design.

Ph4tty, How many miles you got on it? How does it work? I hear so many stories on them. I can't feed fuel mine enough right now, and its driving me crazy. I have to buy a new fuel tank, I got a bad tank of fuel and my pick-up is plugged up again. I had a few good pulls, but there still more left.
