overhead console

So my 2000 came as a work truck. The PO installed aftermarket power windows. The only options it had was bucket seats, AC and power mirrors and 4.10's.

The overhead console is that stupid plastic thing that has the lights in em. I already broke those lights by tapping it to hard...no pun intended. So this leads to my question, are the plugs already there in the sence that all i have to do is just plug it in and mount the console?

Also, how do i get that console off?

If you have the standard overhead console with only the lights then the cable only supplies 12v power. If you want to install the temp/compass/computer module then you need a different cable.

The console is removed by opening the garage door opener compartment and pushing the 2 mounting latches forward while pulling the front of the console down slightly. Then slide the the console to the rear.
