Installed my new GM one one cylinders today, the ones from napa. The truck stops the way its supposed to stop now, seemed to help quite a bit. I must have had a little air in my lines before, the pedal is a lot firmer now, and it brakes fairly aggressively. Thanks for the good info on this inexpensive mod, I recommend it.

 

I changed over my twenty-seventh truck to the bigger cylinders today.
Twenty-seventh person who almost hit their head on the windshield on their first stop with brakes that finally work.

The number is Napa #4637337. Mine were 37337.

Yup, 37337, they were the mid-grade ones that were in stock.

 

Will these work on a 2001 3/4 ton 4x4? We are talking about the wheel cylinders right?

the 37337 cylinders are made by United Brake Parts and are not midgrade they are top of the line and also lifetime warranty most stores may not tell you about them being lifetime warranty.

the 4637337 is made by Trustop. both are new cylinders. The Trustop is foreign made and the United is USA made. The Trustop is a very good product. It is just usually a whole lot cheaper. In this case these 2 parts are only 1 Dollar difference. I just looked in my store computer. We sell a lot of Trustop at my store cause most people want cheap. We have never had any problems with them.

The larger 37337 cylinders are a perfect fit on all Rams with rear drum brakes.

5/16" worked on mine this weekend and the front was 7/16" or 3/8". You maight as well flush all the brake fluid at the same time. Took just over a qt bottle of brake fluid.
