One for the Guru's

Will an older model VA box (made in 99) that does not have map sensor hook ups work on a 2001 HO. I couldn't answer this question so maybe someone could help.

I was under the assumption that box's are for the years intended. Not totally sure though.

From what i understand it should work where it only conects to the vp44, but i am not 100% shure.
