Am I right in thinking that the 03's have a 9 cm exhuast housing?

If so which trucks came with them? 01-04 that kind of information?

Are they the hy35?

I think they're HY-35s, but have 12cm housing... The 9cm housing was perfect for the lower hp 2nd gen autos that had 235hp. But now the stock ratings are 90hp more, and that means you need a little larger housing.

I think the OEM turbo with the smallest housing is the Hy35-9 used on 01-02 automatic trucks.

The 03 through current 04.5's have a 9cm exhaust/turbine housing.

The 04.5 compressor housing is 12cm with an hx40 sized impeller.

pourindeisel, do you happen to know how the cm measurements are taken? You say 12 cm compressor housing? I m used to a/r ratios. Do you happen to know the wheel sizes in a hx 35 or 40? p trim exhuast? 70 mm compressor? that sort of hing?

IIRC, Holset's weird housing sizes are in cm^2. So it's an AREA measurement (square centimeters).

This is probably the cross-sectional area of a slice of the compressor housing taken at a certain point. (maybe 12 o'clock?)

A typical A/R gives you the area and radius, while Holset uses only the area, so maybe they assume a certain radius?
