Does anybody know where I can find original tire changing tools, specifically the deal that lowers the tire to the ground. I have seached all over the internet. Im trying to avoid going to the dealer!!! When I bought my truck used two years ago it didnt come with them, I have a botttle jack and an X bar, just no way to lower the tire, Ive been runnin on faith for two years!!

 

I took a bolt (I believe it had a 3/4" head on it) and welded a nut on the end and I just use a ratchet and socket if I need to lower tha spare. It works good. Just go find at least a 4" long bolt that fits in there snug and weld a nut on. I'm sure the dealer will get you for the real tool.

 

you could also get one from a junkyard- but they're pretty proud of them, too..

I use a long 1/2" socket extension... it fits in the end well enough to work the winch....

 

i tried 6 different junk yards around here. found 1 place that had one. wanted 75 bucks for it said WTH, i'll try the dealer. was 24 bucks, in stock!
