I can't remember the size, but I know the wire you are looking for is "dead soft" stainless

Most hotrod shops should be able to o-ring a head or block. The question is why you wish to attempt this on your own? If it's to save money, I would recommend against it. You need more than just an o-ring cutter, you'l need to select the proper hardness for the o-rings, the width and the depth. I would recommend buying an o-ringed head from one of our vendors (DonM @ www.f1diesel.com comes to mind). They'll be there for you on the after sale support -- that's the difference I think is worth paying.

just my opinion,
brandon.

Thats a good piece of advice......I would think experience makes a world of difference on a job like this.

thanks for the advice. i agree that experience is a good thing. that's why i'd like to get some. i've done all the work on my truck so far, and i'd like to continue that trend. as for why oring, the heads off and twins are in the near future. i talked to lenny at dyno mite last night, he was quite helpful. set me straight on a couple things. and told me that all i needed was some plain old wire and a stock headgasket!?!? anyway, thanks for the responses, i really appreciate it.
