Other than the trans, what is involved in swapping to the 6 speed? The truck in question is a 2002 3500 4x4. We have VERY large injectors, a Drag comp and other stuff....we are tired of this 5 gear nut and now gear whine after our last weld session!

We just bought a SouthBend 13" CON FE clutch that we just installed about a month ago. Chatters lots...not smooth, but holds like a champ! Truck killed its first Z28 Saturday on 35! We looking at a new clutch to convert?

Cross member is prob different i imagine.

Also the transfer case. Will it bolt up? We have heard that the t-case had to be changed with it....doesn't make since to me!

Also think that the drive shaft will have to be changed out as well.

Any thoughts will be helpful. Im also going to call Blumenthal's in OKC to help....apparently they specialize in the conversions.
