ok well a while back i shelled out my stop clutches in my 6 speed. i pulled the trans and replaced everything that was broke and it has been working really good. But now i get a little grind going into 6th gear. it might be for a full second sometimes, or a little less. i can slow down on my shifting and it wont grind or i can double clutch it.

But what could cause this? i remember there was one stop clutch i didnt replace because it looked like a chore to get to. could that be it? i really dont want to tear into my trans again.

 

Let me get this straight:

You pulled out a monstrously huge 5600 and did NOT replace everything you could imagine on the inside??

 

i replaced all the bearings and all the stop clutches except 1. it was in a huge gear pack that i didnt even want to start to even think about taking apart.
