Arrow Next step up from Superchip?

Here's the skinny: Good friend of mine has an '02 auto and is currently running a Superchip w/ 3 power levels. He is looking for a little more, and asked me for some direction/help. Seeing as I don't know enough to point him, I am asking ou fine folks for help. He has already done some trans work, has a K&N CAI and straight pipe. What would be a good next step up, or perhaps stack with the Superchip?

IMO, I would get a fuel system, like FASS, Glacier, Vulcan Kit, etc. Then I would go with an Edge Comp, or a set of injectors. By the way, does he have gauges in his truck?

I have been preaching to him about them, hopefully I will convince him to break down and spend some cash on them soon. I know that FP is VITAL on these trucks, and a tans temp for the auto.

But you think a fuel system is in order first, then look at another box or injectors. Good info to have, thanks.

Tell him to get the Juice with Attitude & kill 2 birds with one stone. He will have gauges, power & alot of cool features like cool down timer, egt backdown & on the fly adjustability.

This is how I am doing my upgrades.
1. Got Super Chips (didn't know about Smarty)
2. Big Honkin Air Filter
3. Gauges and boost fooler.
4. FASS (after two LP failures)
These four I have now.
Next will be a set of RV275's

You did say a little more power.
This is all I need for the towing I do. Well I am sure a trans will be in there when this one starts going south.

Upgrades

I am interested in the results as well. I have a superchip tuner, gauges and am currently upgrading my auto trans to DTT. With stock turbo can I go with something like 100hp injectors or nozzles? Do you need turbo upgrade with this?

I put in Jammer 3's in there with the stock turbo and it ran fine. The hottest I got it was about 1450 degrees, but that was with the Quad box on level 3 to the floor. But putting 100s should wake up your truck.

You can do this, but you need to careful how you use the power since your EGTs will skyrocket. If you tow, this might not be much fun driving by the pryo gauge.

100 nozzles

I do have to tow, about 10,000 lbs boat and fishing gear to the West Coast of Vancouver Island. ( yeah, wicked fishing for salmon and halibut) Grinding up gravel roads in 1st and 2nd. This is why I am tearing down an otherwise fine transmission.
I see Htt (I think) has upgrade compressors for the stock turbo for less than $400. Is this adequate for air, or is only a bandaid solution?
Thanks
Alan

How are people liking the Juice/Attitude in the 2nd Gens? Would he be seeing enough power improvement to make it worth swapping out the superchip?
