try a big brother or phat bastard, I think youve got enough fuel to light it, but when you do, watch out cuz it will rip. I've got a friend runnin a silver bullet and phat bastard in his race truck and that thing is crazy.
Does 132 mm inducer mean anything to you?

id put 33x14.00x16 boggers in front and 33x10.5x16 boggers in the rear. and lower gears like a 5.13 or 4.88. if you can get the boggers to dig and keep spinning there hard to beat.
as far as converting to a single wheel. i donk know if one has a distinct advantage ove the other. but it has to be easier on the rearend. only turning the weight of one wheel and tire. in my exp anything you can do to reduce un sprung weight will help.

I think you'd have to spin a CTD up the NASCAR rpm levels to spin a 132mm charger!
I bet the turbine for that thing would work well in a power plant

I was thinking it would work well in this case because each tire would have more contact pressure and therfore (theoretically at least) "bite" better.
Go to www.industrialinjection.com and check out thier turbo page. The phat bastard is a turbo they sell, well a huge turbo they sell. They tweak the wheels and shaft a little, but they are big. In a motocross race, you try to put your rear wheel in a rut at the gate as it seems to have more traction than prepped surface dirt or a filled in foot packed rut. The only way to get a hole shot is to do this. I know nothing about pulling but I would imagine that if the rears track in the same rut as the fronts, you will get more traction. Side wall bite for example, and more firm dirt on the bottom for the mudders to bite into. Now this could be like sand where you want bite to launch but floatation thereafter. Now the 1 inch difference between on top and in the rutt could play a major role too and cause less sled weight on the truck and thus less traction. It seems like all of the serious pulling trucks use soft balloon like wide tires that dig a little but ultimately float and swell up with rpm effectively changing the gear ratio and allowing more effective wheel speed.
