New injectors or nozzles?

Which would be the way to go, New injectors or just nozzles? I'm only looking to run something in the 50-100 hp range. What are the pros and cons of each?

Any recommendations on a good set of either would be great.

Thanks!

Rob

wasnt there a post just like these a few days ago??? full injector is the better quality in most cases, im getting f1s mach 1.6 90 hp injectors, the bigger bang for you buck is going to be the edge tips. there cheaper expecely if you dont know what size you want. so really need to know what are you looking for??? whats your budget?

The money isn't so much of an issue as the longevity and well being of my engine, which is why I plan on keeping the mods fairly mild. I am really just looking for a bit more power towing and a couple more mpg's.

I'm leaning toward an XZT+ for my truck...... would a mild set of injectors work well with this box?

I would get some Mach 1.6's, like mentioned above. F1 does some of the best VP injectors on the market. If you go with just tips, you really should send off the injectors with tips installed to have them adjusted so all the pop off pressures are the same. This smoothes out idleing and helps mpg. Of course F1 does this already and is part of the reason he only sells whole injectors instead of tips.

ya and the XZT+ will really come alive with them. now i dont see any gages in your sig. that should be the first thing you do to keep that truck running like it should. if i were you id really look into the adrinalen with pulce monitor. iv been trying to make my truck get the best mpgs it can while still being able to do all i need it to. i tow alot and the adrinalin is got to be the best tow box out there hands down. yet it still has the max milage and timing and fueling tune the XZT+ does. both great boxes but if moneys not a big deal get the mach 1.6s and the adrinalen and ull be thrilled

Great info.... thanks guys!

Looks like the Mach 1.6's are the way to go. Everything said above makes perfect sense, and I certainly want to keep my driveability.

As for those gauges, they are first priority on my mod list. I am still in the planning stages yet, still trying to figure out a good setup to give me driveability, dependability, a bit more mileage and a little extra grunt.
I'm the kind of guy who likes to have a plan.

Thanks again for all of your responses!

CG, if I were you, I'd do some electronics before mechanical upgrades. It is much easier and faster to install a box that adds 60 HP. If you are going to do both electronic and mechanical upgrades, your transmission will need some upgrades as well. A new torque converter will help out your around town mileage and will be necessary if you tow or plan to use extra HP. If you take it easy, the stock one can be limped along for quite a while, but if you really want to use the extra power, you need to address the transmission.

Transmission is another reason why I would wait for injectors, you cannot turn injectors off once their installed. You can turn a box down or off.

If money is not that big of an issue, get a fully built transmission, add some injectors and buy a Quadzilla Adrenaline. You'll then have a solid 400 HP to the ground and great driveability.

But like I cautioned, If I were you, and I wanted some added power, but didn't want to go crazy, a simple XZT+, Edge EZ, etc would be my choice.
