I have a 2001 HO 6 speed. I am going to straight pipe it and add a BHAF. My question is ,is there any new fueling boxes on the horizon? Right now I plan on getting an Edge EZ in Febuary after the tax refund check comes in, but I was wondering if there are any rumors out there about new technology that might be coming down the pipeline. P.S. " I will never tap the pump wire"

 

I wouldn't expect much new for the 24 Valves. Most of the R&D time and money is now being spent on the Common Rails.

 

I wouldn't expect anything new. The manufacturers of the boxes are now in the "making money" phase, not the "spending money" phase.

The Redline box from Blue chip is the only new thing to come along in a while (it allows VP44 trucks to rev to 4000 rpm!).

Moreover, the market for 3rd gens is growing (as they sell more), while the market for 2nd gens is shrinking (wrecks, etc mean fewer on the road).

If I'm not dreaming..... I think I remember someone recently mention a product called the "Edge Pro Tow" in this 2nd generation performance forum. Did I imagine this or is it real? If so, what is it?

Is the Blue chip redline box really good? how much horse does it give you? will a 24 valve reving to 4000RPM wreck anyhting or is there something else you have to change? Just wondering becuase it sounds like a good thing.

I also was interested in the EZ untill I researched more.The EZ is really aggresive on timing so many say to get the Diesel Dynamics version as its designed better for HO's.
