New to CTD

I recently got a 01 2500, my first diesel. I love it. I got a Superchips tuner from a friend and can really tell a difference over stock. Would this be enough to damage my stock automatic transmission? Should I worry about EGTs? The Superchips tuner is the only modification on the truck.

Thanks
Bill

I don't think the superchips alone would be enough to damage your tranny; still I would highly recommend installing gauges as a top priority. Not just for EGT's but especially for fuel pressure
Good luck with your new ride, and BTW welcome to the forums. You will find a wealth of information here. Remember: the search button is your friend.

Your trans should be OK with just a "small" box.

It's that little taste of torque that leads to wanting more, and more, and more, than will toast your transmission and your credit card
...new and bigger box, bigger injectors, bigger turbos, even bigger box, still bigger injectors, twin turbos,.... it never stops........

Welcome to the DTR family.

I love the way those gauges look on the A-pillar. There is a little speaker on mine, can the gauges still be installed there? EGT, FP and boost - or - EGT, FP and Tranny?

Bill

PS This site is great!!

You can get a three gauge pod for the A pillar with the tweeter, just check around with the vendors. I went with FP, EGT and boost on the pillar, and tranny temp in the cubby hole. Sorry no pics though.

bill i started with the superchips tuner and dispite the popular opinion of most I like it, i recently stacked a van aaken v5 that I found for a c-note and the two together get my pig out of the hole like right now! the best thing I could reccomend is gauges and a pusher or the like, as fuel pressure is the nemisis of the 24v.

PS if you modify your signature with your truck info it would be easier to know what ya got
